We are unveiling a Pittsburgh First...the Banana Split Sundae, which was first introduced 101 years ago, in 1904, at Strickler's Drug Store in Latrobe. But, we've added a whole new twist to the world-famous concoction of three scoops of ice-cream, a whole banana cut lengthwise, and a few toppings.
We have gone over-the-top in offering every imaginable topping you could think of putting on a Banana Split Sundae. From the traditional to the sweetest to the most absurd, the adventure in indulging is all about creating a dessert to satisfy the coolest cravings and many divinely rich desires.
